The highest peak is that of Monte San Michele, 893 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Greve in Chianti in the province of Florence. The remaining territory, mainly hilly and the municipalities of this area constitute part of the production area of the Chianti DOCG red wine. From the wine point of view, the territories of the province of Siena are part of Chianti: Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga.
